Philanthropic Enterprises - Development Media International

Development Media International focuses mainly on the issues of health. Currently, they produce mass media campaigns that can change behaviors that can help millions of people to provide access to interventions that can save thousands of lives each year. DMI sadly reports that 6.3 million children worldwide will die under the age a five every single year. Maternal mortality rates remain stubbornly high in many countries, and several of the health interventions that can reduce the risk of maternal and child mortality are highly dependent on the actions of families in the community.

In the same sense of creating awareness for a business, DMI sets out to develop demand creation. More recently the vast majority of money in the health sector has been spent on improving the supply side that includes doctors, nurses, pharmaceuticals, hospitals and so. Even though these are necessary components, they have come at the expense of creating demand for healthy behaviors. You simply cannot throw money and resources in the form of health services and expect a change. Money and Resources will not work effectively due to the lack of education in the behavior of the people using those services in life protecting manners. DMI uses Radio and Television to reach their target audience well then print media and social media.

Alexa Largoza - Ania  aims to improve mass media campaigns that can change behaviors that can help millions of people to provide access to interventions that can save thousands of lives each year.  Alexa believes that expending funds  and resources in the form of health services won't guarantee change or improvement. She believes it cannot work effectively due to the lack of education in the behavior of the people using those services in life protecting manners.
